4. APPROVAL OF MINUTESS: MSCU Benny Morrow /Steve Anderson
to approve Minutes of June 6,2023 with spelling correction.

5. TREASURER'S REPORTS:
Treasurer Elaine Jacobs was absent and Secretary Sophia Wages presented the Treasurer’s report. Fiscal Report 9-4-23 Balance of $14818.07; Trap Fiscal Report - $17,184.59 and $1050.00 added after report, totaling $ $18,234.00 (See Attached) MSCU Jim Wages/Matt Denny to approve Treasurer’s Report as presented.

6. CLUB REPRESENTATIVE REPORTS:

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. Range was not sprayed this year. Will correct for next year. Wayne has contact information for individuals to help us out. Tom Getts, Weed Ecology, 251-2650.
  2. 100 Y. range – still want to do it, started looking like a lot of expense, no plan together yet. Want something for members who aren’t shooting trap and would like to site in rifles etc. Don Williams – stated that there hasn’t been a single rifle shooter show up all summer. Lowell was up there today, 3:30 pm and indicated it was the first time he saw rifle shooter all summer. Alienating those who want to site in rifles. Bill Kauffman said people throwing hand throwing, he let them shoot. Howie Hanlan with 3 rifle shooters had no problems wanted to know if there is conflict. President Bill explained how it interfered with scheduling availability. Steve Anderson suggested posting a laminated monthly schedule for shooters to see to hang on the gate. Jim Wages asked if individuals had problems with opening the lock. Non one present did. Discussion as to how to proceed with the funding we have in the Club treasury. Not ready for proposal to bring to BLM or Club. Re-visit /table to December meeting

7. NEW BUSINESS (Discussion/Action)

  1. Officer Nominations Jim Wages/Walter Kirklin, to retain current officers.
  2. Bylaw Change - Proposal to change term of officers to two year terms. (First Reading) Sophia Wages indicated that this change will promote continuity in leadership. MSCU Sophia Wages/Scott Parks

8.Work Party for Range scheduled September 30, 9:00 a.m. Cleaning up of weeds on lines in pistol bays, to get out of the way to traffic.

9.Wayne Jambois proposed that the Club reimburse Don Williams and Curt Moran for their volunteer work at the Range. Also, recognition for Lowell Harwood for his many years of service to the Club as he will be moving. Authorize Executive Committee to procure plaque. Walter Kirklin/Steve Anderson to authorize fuel costs, for Kurt Moran and Don Williams.

10. OTHER (Discussion Information)
Printing of Membership Cards. Cards will not be printed for members who sign-up late in the year. They will be printed from January – October 31.
